At Paws Up, a Forbes Four Star dude ranch resort in Montana, I was responsible for the end-to-end experience at one of the busiest departments at the resort. That meant orchestrating meal service, labor strategy, special events, and on-the-ground leadership—all while staying close to the guest experience.

I learned how to lead from the front, empower staff to perform with confidence, and uphold world-class standards in dynamic, high-pressure environments. Hospitality sharpened my ability to remain composed under stress and solve problems with empathy and speed. It also reminded me of the joy and fulfillment that comes from creating exceptional experiences for others.

Lesson Learned: I learned that consistency and compassion in leadership create space for both employee growth and memorable guest experiences.
